I think the answer is the Rheem siding.

We have a winner!

(was it the 'hot water' clue or did you have a search of the old posts?)

Will update the pic - removing the 'deletions'.

A combination. I didn't think it was a clue until you said so!
It's in Alan St, Rydalmere, IIRC.

Having said that, could you tell us exactly where you were standing and which way you were facing when you took the pic? I tried using aerial photographs to identify the siding and could not see where the pic would have been taken.

Oh, and its your turn Sparkie.

The gatehouse at Rheem says 55 Brodie St. It's only a few hundred metres SSE of Rydalmere station. The river is also close by and that vegetation you see is alongside small creek- there's a pedestrian bridge over it to nowhere there as well - locked gate at the railway line.
Don't know when the line closed. Probably wouldn't show up on those aerials.

Reckon we should all chip in and get SOAG a digital camera? He wins enough of these quizzes but doesn't reap the benefit.

Danoz has them for $49.95 (and $39.95 for every extra camera!)

Very kind of you Warks - but the satisfaction is all in the challenge. What's the point in posting photos if I already know where they are?
