penov has it - it is indeed the Proston Branch.

The photo is taken at the Krebs Street level crossing in Murgon, looking east towards the triangle junction with the Kingaroy Branch.

Google Maps.

Strangely Google still shows a rail line out to Proston (apparently services stopped in 1980s, according to a QLD thread I was reading the other day) yet no rail line is marked to Kingaroy which is still open Shocked

The other interesting thing is that the Proston Brach, well the few kilometres I saw of it around Murgon, seems to be in very good condition for a line that hasn't seen use in 20 years...

People who talk out their asre usually have bad breath.

Well, my guess worked out for once ! Apparently, from my atlas, there was a branch off from the Proston branch just out of Murgon to a place north called Windera, Proston being to the west. Just east of Murgon is an aboriginal township called Cherbourg, which appears on some maps but not on others and has quite a large population.

Open forum, anyway, I have no pictures.

Not WA either.
Not Penong or Penong either!
Not Kowulka!
Kowulka hasn't had Yard Limit boards for about 40 years.
This picture was taken in 2007.

Not Kimba either, crisfitz.
Kimba is still in use, so doesn't qualify for this thread.
I will, however, confirm that you are on the right track, so to speak.
