Railpage Australia™ FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Category: Main -> Downloads Frequently Asked Questions
| Answer | | · What is the Downloads Module? The downloads module, is a section of Railpage 2.0 that allows users to place files for download.
Users can either;
a) Link to a download on another site.
b) Upload a file from their computer onto Railpage 2.0.
Categories can be created so downloads can be sorted into an order where they should be able to be found easily. [ Back to Top ]
| | · What file extensions do you allow to be uploaded? We currently allow; ".pps", ".zip", ".tar", ".gz", ".rar", ".mpg", ".mpeg", ".divx", ".avi", ".ace" and ".mid". If you would like another supported, please contact us via the "Feedback" link on the left. [ Back to Top ]
| | · You guys dont currently serve "x" category, could you add it? Sure! Contact us via the "Feedback" link on the left and we'll give it due consideration. [ Back to Top ]
| | · How do I know "x" file isnt a virus? We make every effort to check files in the database, but sometimes they slip through. As a general rule, dont open .exe, .pif, .com, .vbs or .scr files unless you're very sure about them. Also, give them a scan with your own virus scanner. Railpage can take no responsibility for any damage cause by anything served from Railpage, so be careful! [ Back to Top ]
| | · I have my own website, can I link to my submitted downloads from my website? Of course! But please dont link directly to the file, instead link to the details page. In addition, you can even let users vote for your download from your website! Use the feedback link to ask us how! [ Back to Top ]
