Category: Main -> Railpage Chat FAQ

Question
·  Howcome my messages keep dissappearing?
·  How can I change my font colour?
·  Who can kick people from the chatroom?
·  How can I decorate my text?
·  Can I send private messages that only one person can see?

Answer
·  Howcome my messages keep dissappearing?

Because of the way the chat module is constructed, it can only send one message at a time. As a general rule of thumb, wait until you see your previous message come up in the chat window before typing your next one.

·  How can I change my font colour?

Type the command “/set color” (minus quotation marks), followed by the HTML colour code in the chat message bar. For example, /set color 003366.

Only admin can kick people. Admin are denoted by a to the left of their username.

·  How can I decorate my text?

In a combination of four ways. You can change your font colour, bold your text, underline it or italic it.

To bold it, put :b: around the passage you want to bold; for example, :b:this is bold text:b:

To underline it, put :u: around your text; for example, :u:this is underlined text:u:

To put it in italics, put :i: around it; for example :i:this is italiced text:i:

·  Can I send private messages that only one person can see?

Yes, you can. Type in /msg username followed by the message you want. For example; /msg michaelgreenhill this is a private message.

You can also click a username that comes up when someone says something in the chatroom. This automatically puts /msg into the message box.
