On 3 December 1984, ALCo 'World' no.965 leads V/Line unit C506, still in Victorian Railways colours, upgrade past Lynton in the Adelaide foothills with train no.697 from Adelaide to Melbourne .
Although I had made two previous trips to Oz, this was the first shot I took after officially emigrating to Australia in mid-November 1984 - not a bad start!
