Excellent, good to see an Aussie cab being done.
The cab is the least attempted area.
If this is taste of future cabs, this will put the icing on the Aussie MSTS cake.

I think the main reason for the lack of Australian Prototypical cabs. particularly for the more modern engines is the fact that access can be quite difficult. Whilst it may be easy to get plans and reference photos for a complete model, interior cab shots and layouts, unless you are connected to someone for access, is extremely difficult. I would say that this is the main reason for the cabview being put in the hard task bucket. Security nowadays seems to be paramount, well at least here in Tasmania, so I would assume it is even more so elsewhere around the country. I can't get anywhere near a working cab on the mainline now like I used to be able to, without being questioned and told to leg it.
At least with some of the older prototypical engines, access can be gained via museums, preservation societies, etc to cabs in order to obtain photos.
The other method would be to model a complete cabview with a 3D modelling program which is very time consuming and if not done right, can look terrible. Most MSTS modellers in Australia use TSM which IIRC can't render within the program or take a workspace snapshot making this task even more difficult for many. Even Gmax won't render a scene, leaving 3D Canvas in conjunction with POVray or Gile(s) a much better option here for many users, but alas there are very few who use this option.
Just my .02 cents worth

Yes, you made some very good points, particularly the problem of getting in cab shots. Trouble with me (old fart) I still see railways from my past railway days, just never thought much about getting near engines these days would be a no, no.
Man, am I so very very thankful I experience those good old railway days, where one only had to ask nicely and it was done happily. Well it was 99½% of times, as there always was that odd over bearing smeghead that looked down on others because of their own self importance.
Oh well, that is today's society's progress we all pay penalty for now I guess.

Did you copy both the lever and multistatdisplay sections into the cvf file as the numvalues and switchval corospond,and change the cabviewcontrols line so it knows you have added 2 more controls.

G-513;
be Proud of your work. It's so real.
"Has anyone heard or seen Russell Beer".
Maybe he went to work in your cab.
Well done on a super view.
Team-Alco needs a cab builder, IMO maybe they could hire you.
