Railpage Australia™ - Gheringhap Sightings w/e 3/5/2008

There were 104 sightings for this week, which is 24 sightings more than last week, making a total of 1718* sightings for this year to date. On day 124 last year we had seen 1884 sightings. We have seen no trains again this week on the B/G.

On the S/G we have seen 12 AN class loco sightings and eight DL class sightings. We have seen ten sightings of the XRB slave units with nine of them being seen on the Patrick's trains. We saw nine sightings of BL class locos with seven of them seen on the AM/MA5 PN trains. On the SCT trains we have seen 13 sightings of the new SCT class locos, SCT001/002/003/004/005/006/007. And we saw five SCT G(S)'s, one sighting of XR555(PN) and only five sightings of green G's. We have seen XR555(PN) twice and XR559(PN) three times on the 9791/92 trains. On the P & O trains we have seen 14 VL class sightings, VL's 355/56/57, 11 sightings of EL class locos, three GM class sightings, GM's 38 & 45 and two sightings of CLF4. I believe QRN have taken the RL locos off this train due to some problems with the locos? We have seen two GWA grain trains this week, on Tuesday evening we saw an up train to Melbourne with CLP8+CLF5+GM42 and 43 hoppers, this train returned west the next day at 1415 with GM42+CLF5+CLP8. And we saw two El Zorro grain trains, on Wednesday on the down to Dimboola with
EL54+GM36(CR)+EL52 and 35 hopper, and this train returned on the up to
Melbourne on Friday.
On Sunday we saw a light loco movement on the down with EL54+GM36(CR)+EL52, these locos returned light on the up on Tuesday. We have seen two locos for the first time in their new PN liveries this week, on Monday we saw DL39(PN) on PM6, NRXX+DL47(NR)+DL39(PN). And on Thursday we saw NR1(PN) taking the Overland to Adelaide.
