Hurstbridge Railway line closed at Eltham

Victorian Rail NewsThe Hurstbridge railway line in Melbourne has been closed between Diamond Creek and Hurstbridge due to debris falling on power and the line.

It is not known when rail services will resume. Buses are replacing trains on this line until further notice.

The closure has also meant many Hurstbridge services will not run this evening.

Major delays are expected on the Hurstbridge line this evening, after two trees fell onto overhead wires and tracks in between Wattle Glen and Hurstbridge.

Buses are replacing trains in both directions between Eltham and Hurstbridge.

Connex is expecting at least 15 cancellations in today's afternoon peak.

Further information can be found at the Connex website.
