Over the last two years, Bombardier is also working with the university associations in Malaysia to implement a graduation programme in railway technology and develop local talent.
MIGHT president and CEO Dr Mohd Yusoff Sulaiman said: “MIGHT developed the Rail Industry Development Blueprint in 2012 through an industry-government consensus on the future direction for the local rail industry, focusing on securing more business for local players, human capital development as well as research and technology.”
Bombardier has been present in Malaysia since 1992 and has been associated with multiple railway projects in the country including the delivery of transit systems for Kelana Jaya line.
In another development, Bombardier completed the maiden tests of Baseline 3 Release 2, the latest version of the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) Level 2 solution.
