In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Metro, Peace Over Violence, and other local stakeholders are hosting “It’s Off Limits: Building Sexual Harassment-Free Zones in Los Angeles,” an official free Denim Day event, at Union Station on Wednesday, April 17. The event seeks to engage the public with community-oriented activities and conversation.
Everyone is welcome to attend and learn how you can help build a sexual harassment-free Los Angeles where schools, places of employment, transit and all public spaces are safe.
Los Angeles Union Station Historic Ticketing Hall 800 N Alameda St. Los Angeles, CA 90012 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
The event program includes light refreshments on a first-come, first-serve basis, printmaking, songwriting and self defense classes, as well as a roundtable discussion that will include LA County Supervisor and Metro Board Chair Sheila Kuehl.
“It’s Off Limits: Building Sexual Harassment-Free Zones in Los Angeles” is also held in partnership with YWCA-Greater Los Angeles and The Los Angeles County Women And Girls Initiative Governing Council.
