Firefighters have responded to reports of a car fire at Bourke Street in Melbourne's CBD, where a significant amount of smoke can be seen.
"Police are aware of an incident in the vicinity of Bourke Street," Victoria Police said in a statement.
"Police are asking for members of the public to avoid the area.
"We will provide information as it comes to hand."
The Metropolitan Fire Brigade said the fire was contained within 10 minutes.
