Rail Revival Alliance to meet with Louise Staley Member for Ripon
Hey everybody, this isn't my usual post but wanted you to know this. 4014 is coming to Boone Iowa on the 15th of June. I've made plans to go up with a couple of friends of mine. However, if you're in any of the following locations, feel free to come on up and say "hi". Would be great to meet some of you, especially if you're also one of my Youtube subscribers.
Burger King off highway 30, 8:00 to 9:00 A.M.
Boone & Scenic Valley Railroad Museum 9:00 to 11:30d
Subway 11:30 to 12:00
I'll be heading west after that to do a few minutes of pacing coming east out of Grand Junction and then set up for run-by's at the 169 crossing west of Odgen and juneberry road next to where the UP main crosses the Des Moines river. We'll wrap up by catching the arrival in Boone. They haven't posted the arrival location on the schedule, so I'm guessing they'll stop at the old depot by Story St. and then sometime later move the consist over to the yard and move 4014 to one of the service or roundhouse tracks. there's what looks like public access off of 7th street and the Lincoln highway to have a clear view of the service tracks and turntable.
And finally, back to the railroad museum at 4:00 for the dinner train.
I'll probably have a Trump 2020 hat and Goose in The Caboose Productions nametag on, so look for that and a camcorder bag to go with me.
Hope to see a few of you there and can't wait!!! Don't worry, I'll get PLENTY of footage.
