THREE teenagers have been charged over an attack on a rail employee at Blackburn in Melbourne's east yesterday.
The two boys and a girl allegedly attacked the man about 5.40am (AEST).
Police allege the rail employee approached the three teenagers who were vandalising a carriage with a pair of scissors.
He confiscated the scissors from one of the teenagers but was then struck on the back of the head with an iron bar.
The man was taken to Maroondah Hospital for treatment to a cut to the head.
Police later arrested two boys, aged 15 and 13, and a girl, aged 15.
They were charged with a range of offences including causing serious injury and assault with a weapon.
A 15-year-old boy from Ringwood has been remanded to appear at the Melbourne Children's Court today.
A 15-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy, both from Boronia, have been bailed to appear at Ringwood Children's Court on June 16.
