Trains are expected to be delayed due to a suspicious early morning railroad car fire in San Luis Obispo.
Amtrak announced on their Twitter page that Train 774 was cancelled and passengers will be re-accommodated onto connecting buses between San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara. Passengers traveling southbound from Los Angeles may board Metrolink Train 684 or 580. Recently Amtrak announced an "on-time" section of Train 774 will now be available to operate between Los Angeles and San Diego.
The fire was first reported at 3:30 a.m. near Garibaldi Ave in San Luis Obispo. Five separate railroad cars full of railroad ties were found to be on fire, which officials determined to be suspicious.
