Just a week after local train services finally returned to the tracks, buses will be back on the Geelong line this weekend. V/Line says maintenance works will see both the Geelong and Warnambool lines closed on Sunday. But unlike the six months the organisations VLocity trains were out of service due to maintenance issues, customers will still have to pay even though they will be forced to use coaches.
V/Line says Myki passes or paper tickets will be required. Passengers are also being advised to allow an extra 30 minutes for the trip to Melbourne. Room for bicycles will also be limited. The Geelong and Warnambool trains lines will be closed for part of the weekend. Track maintenance works on Sunday will see buses used to get people to Melbourne instead.
