Rare Arnott's biscuit van restored
Tuesday 31st August saw LMS Jubilee Class No. 45699 Galatea as scrapped sister locomotives 45627 Sierra Leone on the smokebox door number and nameplate and 45562 Alberta on the cab numbers haul The Pendle Dalesman over the S&C to Carlisle.
The Pendle Dalesman is a railtour operated by West Coast Railway which runs from Lancaster to Carlisle and returns via the Settle & Carlisle Railway on certain Tuesdays from May to September every year hauled by one of the steam locomotives in the pool at Carnforth Steamtown, home of West Coast Railways
The Pendle Dalesman on 31st August would see 45699 travel through stations such Preston, Pleasington, Blackburn, Langho, Clitheroe, Hellifield, Settle, Horton-in-Ribblesdale, Ribblehead, Garsdale, Kirkby Stephen & Appleby.
