Hospital staff say a woman has been very lucky to escape serious injury after being trapped between a train and a platform at a station in Sydney's south last night.
She fell and became caught by her legs and lower body as a south bound train was coming into Allawah station.
The woman was released by fire crews using low pressure air bags to create a gap between the train and the platform.
She has no obvious injuries and her condition is described by nursing staff as stable.
