A long way from their original home, a pair of former New South Wales 422 class locos meander through the Murray Mallee on the evening of 26 February 2015 with an empty grain train bound for Loxton.
Most of the 422 class were purchased by Genesee & Wyoming in 2000 and refurbished for further use by GW and its various offshoots.
The Loxton line only carries grain and is threatened with closure later this year.
