As part of their "Australian Horsepower" branding, CFCLA has named a number of their locomotives after Australian racehorses. CF4405 is seen here as being named after "Beldale Ball".
To celebrate the commissioning of CFCLA's final two CF4400 class C44ACi locomotives, CFCLA joined forces with ARHS(ACT) to run a special train featuring vintage ALCo 4403 with CF4405 and CF4406, along with three carriages. The ALCo hauled the carriages up to UGL Broadmeadow at the start of the day where the CF's joined, attaching to the front of the consist to run to Sydney Terminal for official ceremonies and photography opportunities. After the ceremony in Sydney, the ALCo and carriages returned to Canberra, while the CFs returned light engine to Broadmeadow.
