Southern Shorthaul Railroad's Alco DL541, 602 awaits re-activation inside Parkes roundhouse on 28th September 2016.
The company purchased the 1969 A.E. Goodwin built Alco from Greentrains in mid 2016. The locomotive was built for the South Australian Railways before being transferred to Australian National. In 1997 it was included in the sale of Australian National to Genesee & Wyoming. In 2004 Australian Railroad Group (G&W) sold the locomotive to South Spur Rail Services before heading into Greentrains ownership.
