The Railcams are a Railpage Australia project with the overall aim of providing motion-detecting webcams along Australia's major rail routes. Each camera takes photos triggered by motion detection and uploads to Flickr for archiving. The cameras on this page automatically refresh at 60 second intervals.

The railcams are purchased, built and operated at cost by Railpage. Each railcam can cost several thousand dollars to build, and generates ongoing expenses for electricity and networking. While we endeavour to provide as much information to the railfan community as possible, the railcams are a premium feature of Railpage and provided at no cost to members.
