42M-1910T-110M is separated from 36M-1979T-37M at Westall.The latter 3 cars came up from Sandringham this morning arriving FSS 9:33. It was in a 6-car set that was all silver except for the blue numbers and the blue stripes at the front. Are the 2 halves back together or are they in new consists?

46M was seen leading a down empty cars through Glenhuntly around 08:10 on Friday.
I would presume the set formed the 08:22 up Cheltenham.
Would have been nice to get a shot of a Hitachi in the back platform, but couldn't have got back there in time.

Don't know if this is the best place to put this, but it's Hitachi related so here goes:
Some years back, I was carting some pro recording equipment home from Flagstaff station, and I made a recording as I waited for my train. This one is a Hitachi rolling in from my right (Melb Central) and leaving to my left (Nth Melb) on Platform 3 around 10-11 AM on a weekday (obviously, if I was at flagstaff...).
It's a pretty good recording, so put on the headphones, sit back and enjoy (but not too loud - there's a bit of brake squeal).

I spotted, from my VLocity (to Sunbury and beyond), a Connex sticker fronted Hitachi sitting under the freeway at Macaulay. It's actually the first time I've seen one without dirty green and yellow on it. It was next to a Comeng, so I didn't get to see the side.

The video was an interesting one because all doors except that one were closed. Must have been a case of a defective passenger making the door out of service.
One day last year i saw a similar thing too. On a not in service train (can't remember the number) but all doors on the platform 4 side at Burnley were fully open. The train went to Burnley Yards.

it was roughly left FFS at 3.55pm (when i look at the clock and it was out of the station)

A hitachi set was withdrawn from service last night at Mitcham Station, around 530pm, i didnt hear the announcement properly, but something was faulty, the train sat in the platform for around 5mins and departed empty towards box hill, with headlights etc on on the REAR end of the train.
I apologise that i didnt get the set numbers..
.. this was followed by 2 x'traps and a comeng that crawled into the platform 2mins apart afterwards.
All were heading towards the city.
