144M Station Master

Location: Somewhere on Railpage...
Hi. While walking to the local supermarket one night, I came up with a scenario and wondered if it would be possible.
Imagine this:
A kid found a magnet at some random whatever train station.
He threw it up onto the overhead.
Question 1: Would it be possible for the magnet to somehow attach to the contact wire?
It attaches to the contact wire
A couple of minute's later, a train comes roaring in.
The pantograph strikes the magnet...
Question 2: What would happen to the pantograph and the overhead if the magnet is big enough.

Can anyone please supply with the answers to these questions and if possible, has it happened once somewhere around the world.

The overhead is copper. The only thing a magnet is going to stick to is the stanchion, the rails or an X'Trapolis.

While probably a useless thread that should die an immediate death; one must ask:

Isn't an X'Trap stainless steel (and therefore are unlikely to attract a magnet)?

What if there really was a magnet on the rail? Surely the train would simply crush it, rather than the disastrous scenario when a certain Homer J. Simpson of Springfield, USA placed a coin on the rail. (Yes, this question is tongue-in-cheek)
