Flashback Thread: Photos or Videos?

Hi all, as those who follow me on youtube would know, I've been uploading a lot of 1990's V/Line and NRC videos recently for the reminiscence factor. So, does anyone else have some old photos or videos (can also be Freight Australia etc.) that they'd like to upload for the rest of us to drool think and reflect back on?

I'll get it started with the videos I've uploaded so far.

There's well over three hours of footage here so enjoy!

If a mod disagrees with the thread, I'm happy for it to be locked if they so decide Smile

Cheers David, I'm not even sure what gave me the idea to start uploading them, but they're out there for the world to see now

Another 1990's video from me (my 50th youtube upload, a small milestone) is one of a couple of days in the Gheringhap area in 1995. Tacked on the end is a steelie roaring through Ararat behind two C's and a 700 as well as a couple of trains at Bet Bet. Enjoy!

It's hard to believe the mid 90's is basically 20 years ago!

Yeah i don't know, but it just keeps ticking. I really enjoyed your footage in and around Bendigo, you certainly captured a lot of train operations!
One that stood out for me was the 7 Sprinters, I remember my dad telling me about that. I think he took a photo of them at the platform just because there was 7 of them. I can't say I have seen that many on one particular train at one time since.

cheers Al

Thanks for sharing, makes me almost want to go and drive trains in Victoria. Wink
I think trains were far more interesting in the old days with lash ups and combinations of mixed goods.

Some more C class action here. Wink

I've got around to uploading another one, this time its Film 2-1993, while Film 1-1993 has been up for a while, I hadn't got around to posting it Embarassed
Anyway, here are both of these tapes. They were the first uses of the camera, so the films are a bit rugged in places

Some of you have probably watched Film 1-1993 above, this was because for some reason, it posted the link to the playlist it was in and played this tape instead of the video I wanted it to embed. This has now been fixed Smile

For a while in the mid 90's, just before the separation of V/line into freight and passenger sections, Ns would run the container train to Shepparton and return on the next up passenger, and vice versa. This kept the power moving and allowed DOO on both.

Also around that time, the Sunday evening down Albury/Shepp combined train ran with an N-4cars-N-3cars for a short while. Both Ns were crewed and powered. This made the split at Seymour easy. I have a couple of average pics of these workings and some HI8 video. Did anyone get some decent pics of this?

Cheers, Matt.
