Long term, when Ringwood becomes a city in its own right,
Interesting link. Thanks.
Note: I can't seem to find any of these videos/animations or design concepts they refer to..The 'cartoons' were played on the news bulletin that I watched this evening. In the case of Springvale Rd, there did not seem to be any allowance for future amplifiation...
Here is the video. It shows room for the current 2 tracks, plus a future 1 or 2 more.

For more information on any of these changes, please call Public Transport Victoria (PTV) on 1800 800 007.
This is due to preparatory works for the level crossing removal as well as construction of an underpass an Officer.
Does anybody know if it's a pedestrian underpass for Officer? Why has that station been chosen considering it surely gets many commuters. There are hundreds of other stations that would need this more.

To be fair, though, (if it is an underpass) there is a lot of new housing development in the area so sleepy little Officer is set to go crazy very soon!
Officer is a road underpassNot at the moment it isn't: http://www.street-directory.com.au/sd3_new/map-print.php?x=145.40863841767526&y=-38.0675947228934&l=13&mt=4&rad=1.5&cat=0

Works are currently underway. Works on said grade separation is a part of the absolute occupation on the Pakenham line this long weekend.
There still is a level crossing at Officer, maybe you mean the road under the freeway?
By the looks of things, Officer is set for major development. The new Cardinia Shire development is even planned in the Melways.
I've been watching the works at Springvale during my trips up and down the Dandy line twice a week. It will be interesting to see the major works start. Hopefully the traffic management works out - that area is very, very crowded.

Hey guys, I create a new youtube video of what Springvale Road, Springvale grade separation will look like in late mid 2014. The station will be moved 20 metres north of existing station and the train tunnel -6m (below ground). Enjoy!!!Nice job of editing it. Except that I would warn you to be extremely careful about using video that was originally produced by a government agency and altering parts of it to make it look like you produced it. That particular video animation was produced by VicRoads 4 days ago. It's quite obvious that you have altered parts of it - there are all sorts of copyright laws against this kind of thing.
