The National Trust of South Australia is upset with the level of protection offered to two Adelaide heritage sites.
It said only six of the buildings at the Islington railyards were to be protected.
The Trust said the entire rail workshops site deserved to be protected and made available for public use, as happened with the Midland railway workshops in Perth.
The Trust also is upset the former nurses' quarters at Glenside, a 1950s building, will be demolished.
