Why is it, every new website I see has a black background?

#fff; or at the MINIMUM #ccc;.

Furthermore - In order to line everything up properly, and since I'm not sure if you know a lot of HTML, use tables. They line everything up and make the site look better. As you get to know HTML and CSS better you can move onto CSS and DIVs.

EDIT: and for the record, no, I do not have an OptusNet website - I have other websites.
