I got a Waratah train money box the other day. You have to construct it yourself. It's target plate reads A-one.
Destination reads Waratah.
Item is staff issue and measures about 30cm long.

Will sell to highest bidder. Inbox me.

A32, which I just rode from Granville to Strathfield, has the new exterior scheme.

I'd suggest that at least half the fleet has been done by now - it's actually getting harder to spot the "old style" in my experience.

Just to be pedantic, it is not the first time the A set has been on the North Shore in regular revenue service, I am pretty sure their is a very early morning A-Set via Gordon, and then to Epping via Central. Wink

You would be correct, as well as one of the last trains of the evening, I believe. The same for Penrith, I have personally seen an A Set in service at Penrith, although that was the second set to do so. I'm told that one went to Richmond in service at some point too.

This however, was the first "official" timetabled set, so there's some significance there.

Oh Dear,

The Minister proclaims "The West has not seen a new train for a long long time."
She must believe OSCAR trains are old?
Ok some are up to 6 years old now,
They have only been running West for 2-3 years.
BUT I wouldn't call that a  LONG LONG TIME?  Rolling Eyes

That's true - but never let the truth get in the way of good political advertising!

The report I saw had her making out that this was the first ac train to the west as well. It may have been the first regular Waratah but it's beyond a stretch to claim ac as a first.

As I understand it, they're "Blue Mountains Line" trains when it's convenient (such as now), but they "run on the Western Line" when it's convenient too - ie it depends on what you're trying to promote!
  Kamz Assistant Commissioner

OSCAR trains have been running on the Western Line since around the time were introduced. But they have only operated a couple of runs a day.

At the moment
8.06am Central to Penrith

One other I've forgotten.

Probably a comment the Minister now regrets.

I seem to recall the afternoon Wyong services used to run out to Blacktown and back again prior to heading up to Wyong in the afternoon, both when they were G Sets and OSCars.

That being said, they were never really used on the Western Line in the sense that commuters would recognise them - ie they didn't appear on peak services until taking over one of the Springwood runs.

Probably a comment the Minister now regrets.
Kamz
This is seriously doubt - she made a good point, using poor wording. It has been a while since the Western Line fleet saw any kind of significant upgrade, probably since the Tangaras were first introduced!

I vouch - I remember catching them.

Also, it appears A50 has been delivered. It's under test on the Main West this afternoon.

^^ most springwood services are, what's the point of this post?
More significant if the set was an Hunter, Endevour, XPL or XPT!

It's in relation to the comment by the Minister that the Western Line has not seen a new train for quite some time, people are pointing out various OSCar runs.
