I tried Dick Smith, Jaycar, Farkanal and RS components, but no-one has them in stock.

You have to go back to 1985 and invent Ebay...

Or try making one yourself http://www.instructables.com/id/Flux-Capacitor/

Yeah, that one looks like the goods, but I suspect it is all flashing blue LEDs and totally bogus.

I believe they were once available, made by a mob called EB-Industries.
EBI later changed it's name to J & V Holdings which was owned by the J & V Family Trust, registered in Clayson Ravine, California.

They have since appeared to have disappeared totally.

Have you suddenly become a first year electrical apprentice?

Jeez. Another solution waiting for a problem to happen. OK. So I'm no geek. I looked it up, and found out all about it.

I'm tinkin as you'll need to find a more testical forum than this one - us folks around here aren't up with this new-fangled gadjetary.

No you see I have it all worked out I am dispensing with the Delorean, can't get one anyway and not suited to Aussie conditions. I figure I will use a Falcon GTHO Phase III, that way I can get up to the required 88 miles per hour in the length of my driveway and avoids problems with the cops. I want to go back to last week and nail the toerag who nicked my wallet.

But the GTHO doesn't have the required Stainless Steel construction!
Whilst it's admirable to "nail the toerag", maybe a trip forward a week to get next weeks PowerBall numbers maybe better. Laughing

Who stole your wallet, where did that happen?

They would be stupid to steal mine, there's never any cash in it -

We don't need that stainless-schmainless stuff, they only had that because Brown wanted to add style to the deal. Good old Aussie muscle cars will still do the trick.

Although I don't know if the Honda genny in the boot will quite front up with the necessary 1.21 Gigawatts I need. Couldn't get any of that plutonium stuff to power it, so the Honda will just have to work harder.

I did manage to get a good deal on a bunch of seven segment display to make the controller from though...

The wallet? Well actually, it was my fault, I put the wallet down while I was paying for something and walked away forgetting it. It didn't have any cash in it either, but I have to go through the pain of replacing all those cards and things.

Dick Smith ,that is a good laugh you would be lucky to get anything from them now, they cannot even now give you good advice simply because it is only Woolworths shops electrical dept! The staff at our local one cringe in fear when you ask them a simple question, let alone ask for advice.

Actually Woolworths sold DSE to private equity mob Anchorage Capital Partners last year (2012) for around $20M.  Last I heard Anchorage were looking to offload it.

All of which does not invalidate the sentiment of your comment.  Once upon a time the annual DS catalog was valued for the data pages in the back if nothing else.

My roof would not support them, it is a built in defence mechanism.
