A13 ran 614 run yesterday, last run was from Hornsby to Penrith where it stabled overnight.

^^ this is the new A set roster for 3b (614) but 139 is S set and was stated that a mistake was made and it ran to penrith this morning and was stabled and swapped with another set.

I vouch - I remember catching them.

Also, it appears A50 has been delivered. It's under test on the Main West this afternoon.

I caught A50 on the South Line at some point during the week last week in the afternoon, It was either Wednesday or Thursday. I forget now.

130- ,134- look like they are to be the next runs for the North Shore/Western Line to be A sets now 696/699 respectively but still S sets today.

Edit: 696- (former 130-) now A set

There are now quite a few western line runs in the 600 series. Today still showing as either S or K sets though

Yes, without looking for the relevant STN's the next batch to become A-Sets over the coming week(s), I guess.

696 (western line) is now A set as of today

Going by my recollection of reading said STNs, there should be 4 Waratahs running in Sector 3 on the Western Line. There are a further 3 runs that will be converted to Waratah running in due course. These are still scheduled as K Sets (not 100% though if all 3 are K Sets, will have to check).

EDIT (25/7): 4 runs, not three still schedules as their regular sets. All are indeed K Sets.

Just to update my previous post, there was a subsequent document issued stating that there's only one Waratah running on the Western Line this week.

AMENDMENT (25/7): See below post.

^^ Don't know what that means but there are at least 2.
One on 614 and 696

Hey there, just checked the various documents. You are right. Thank you for replying Smile

Two Waratah runs in Sector 3 on Western Line currently. There were apparently supposed to be another three as well but they have been temporarily delayed from conversion while another 4 runs have been renumbered in anticipation of conversion to Waratah running in due course.

Regards.

A51 is testing this afternoon from AMF to Sydney terminal while I was A50 on a Campbelltown service. I wonder why A49 hasn't entered service yet.

Yep, I worked it in service on Friday. From memory, it was Kingsgrove - Glenfield - Liverpool.
Could still smell the new 'plastic' in the cab and the floor was still clean! lol

A12 was testing this afternoon from Sydney terminal to AMF. Has the orange vinyl, but not the Sydney Trains logo on the side of the carriages.

A number of the Waratahs in testing at the moment (A12, A49 and A51(?)) are like this - if one looks closely, the logos are applied, just covered.

A51 is already in service so obviously the logos aren't covered. But I haven't seen A49 around so which is the 47th Waratah train in service?

Hi
Can anyone tell me what happens when these sets "lose air" as i was on one this morning that undershot the platform by 1 carriage, and guard just said he "lost air"

Sounds like the driver may have lost his/her air after tripping an intermediate trip at a station. Losing the air means once the trip is activated, the train dumps its air in order to bring the train to a stop as quick as possible.
This can happen at places like Central and Hornsby that require low speed in order for the train stop arm to lower.

I may be wrong but that's my take on it.
