Yes as Z1northernprogress said its the tunnel at tunnel on the north east line and far as I can tell tasrail still maintains it eg keeping trees off the line and stopping farmers clam it back! But I didn't know they would travel along the line like that!

Does anyone know of any changes to train running times or of an incident in Burnie. Today at around 13:00 536 was in the Devonport yard waiting to cross with what I thought was 531. However when the train came in to Devonport from Burnie it had 3 x 2150 class carrying general freight of 21 wagons and no papertrain loading. A 34 Wagon 536 then continued on to Burnie.

Perhaps the three 2050 class was the paper train. Lately it looks to be same as any other container train.

The actual train number would have been 6XX (6 = Friday + Train No. (two figures)). What you perceived as being the Train No. was the train I.D. for the track warrant which, if 2004 was leading, would have been 2004 East. (or that actually may have been 2004 South)

Amraks, I think you may be confused. 2004 is on the ore train with 2009 and 2008. There were no coal wagons in Burnie yesterday.

An unusual observation for me this morning was to note how the empty log train from Hobart entered Brighton Hub.
Previously I have seen the train enter locos first using the direct link from the south. Today the excessive time for the train to traverse the short distance between Rogerville and the Hub was explained when the train reversed into the yard having exited the South line via the northern points to the Wye.
Can any others confirm that this process is now the usual practice?

Maybe he got confused with the X wagons?So, firstly the empty Hobart - Brighton train is booked to enter Brighton locos first. The ballast wagons are indeed working between Conara and Rogerville at present, and certainly haven't been to Burnie for a while. The ballast cleaning was complete at the end of June, so the ballast is for the installation of concrete sleepers.
I've not seen a coal wagon in Burnie in the two years I've been there.
I can also confirm the coal wagons haven't been west of Railton for a very long time too...

Witnessed south bound paper train 531 with 24 loaded wagons headed solo by 2021 from Tea Tree to Boyer. Gave it a good workout up into Rogerville.
Loco problems on the log train resulted in 2 locos being put onto 534 at Tea Tree.
