I'm getting two. Have a friend who wants one too, and was not into NG before. I think it is a dinky sized loco, having seen a advanced model at Caulfield last weekend. Will it sell out ?

David Head
I am of course glad people are interested in the model (being the maker of it...).
I am quite confident about the mech. I went with the factory I did for these partly because I have confidence in their ability for mechanisms.
I will put updates on line at http://www.haskellco.net/australian_on30_models as they become available. We should have painted, operating model pics on line within a week or two. I can't really reply to things as easily as usual since I am travelling these days and will only be back in Taiwan next week.
cheers,

The reference to "as preserved" relates to the presence of the steam generator on the loco. These were only fitted in the preservation era, so any model representing 1950s (or earlier) will need to have the generator removed to be accurate. I suspect there will be other differences too - there have been quite a few changes in appearance in the years since preservation.
Understandable. But the point I'm making is that the Rolling Stock does not need to be "limited" to just NBH carriages.
