Centennial are waiting until next year when the legacy coal supply contracts run out, and then the generators (coal fired power stations) will have to start paying market rates for steaming coal, or else it goes to the port and onto a ship.
And if you think NSW can swap to gas fired power, that only lasts until 2015 when the east coast gas network also goes to export pricing parity when all the Gladstone LNG plants kick in.
Just watch your electricity bill go north then. And those CEY's will be panting for a drink when they run to the ports non-stop. Over the life of the loco, a 12 month slow down doesn't make them a bad investment.
