Has this happened to anyone else? I haven't put in my pre-order yet as I was waiting on the painted samples to come out and I'd thought we'd be waiting till next year honestly before we saw them.
Painted samples of the ANs have been around for quite some time and I was told they will arrive late september. As for getting your card debited for GT46s or C44s that would only be because you have ordered the locos. If you pay a deposit on these locos it is $80.00 and the balance owed next year when they arrive with the Price being $295.00.If you pay in full up front the cost is $250.00 per loco a saving of $45.00.I pre ordered and paid in full for mine recently and was told they will not get any more product out of their factory this year, the last three products this year being the AN locos, a rerun on 20/40 ft containers and Batwing Coal Hoppers. So it looks like next year will be another big year for Auscision with at least 2 maybe 3 or even 4 locos next year (GT46,C44,45 class and 46 class) as well as XPT,WBAX vans and possibly Aurora and Rub cars, plus maybe some un-announced models ? who knows.Ah, should have clarified I meant just for the GT46's, already paid for my AN's my bad
Certainly pleased with their apparent decision to do the V-sets. I can only hope the models will be in better running order than the photo suggests.
Tony
Meh, for $895 for a 7 car XPT, you'd expect to come with interiors.
Hornby (& others) I see produce passenger cars with interiors, and can be under $100 per carriage.
For a four car train set with a power car/loco but no interior, we don't think you should expect to pay over $50 for the three carriages, plus about say $200 for the power car/loco, so around $350 to $400 - especially for items that are made in China, and possibly the same factory that Hornby uses.
You can get a Hornby 1st class carriage for around $60 - with interiors.
For those that are interested, I have just been made aware that the V-Sets will not have interiors, and will just be empty shells on wheels. Can you clarify the source of your information for this and other statements in your post. ie did you enquire direct to Auscision and get a direct response, or is the information via a third party.
