Just curious about this AN4 in PN colours. Looking at the Auscision website, AN4 is only available in AN green & yellow. The numbers for the PN locos are 5, 7 & 8. Is this an Auscision loco?

Thanks for that clarification. I thought it had to be an Auscision loco having too much detail and with working lights for it to be a Lloyd's kit.

It adds 2 extra lighting functions which lets you seperate the lights.
In my AN I have individual control of the front fog lights, front white markers, front red markers, rear red markers and directional headlights.
Using these on your locos gives you some prototypical light operations.
Easy to install with wire colours to match each loco and takes about 10 mins.

A further two logic level outputs (Aux 3 & 4) are available via the 21 pin socket but they cannot drive LEDs directly. A transistor (BC547 and 4k7 ohm resistor) per output is required. The kit may include these components.

If planning to convert the 73 to DCC, yes some modifications to the light boards need to be done. I have done a fair few of them now and it's time consuming but in the end it's worth it. Separating the lights allows individual control of all marker lights plus directional headlights and number boards.
Check my blog http://coopersridge.blogspot.com.au/ for how to convert the 73 and there is a picture of the wiring mod on the AN to split the lights. I have not done a 'how to' guide for the AN yet but its coming.
