At Central last Saturday (2 Nov) saw tram arriving. Having some spare time, jumped aboard and rode to Lilyfield and back. At Lilyfield noted trackwork and stabling area buildings nearly complete.Track is laid through the down platform but not yet connected at the Sydney end. The junction points at the Sydney end will probably be removed as there is a crossover at the Dulwich Hill end.
Speed boards have been installed (max = 80) and signals between Wentworth Park and Lilyfield have been converted to LED type.
New Spanish trams noted in depot, painted red with Sydney Transport logos affixed.

Thanks for the information update, raymcd. The new stabling facility looks well advanced - will there be a car shed, or just open storage? Also, any word as to when the Spanish cars may be making their debut?

I have not seen anything about scheduled service date of the Spanish trams; look forward to seeing them in action.
