Thought the 45 looked nice Roachie for old buggers like us. Hoping for a 43 would be too much to expect. Although it is almost Christmas. Nah they will be some of these box things that all look the same to me. Anything from 422 onwards until the NR brought in some variation. Has anyone done a Cedric for the Vics? Probably have but I don't take much notice of stuff newer than 1967 or further south than Albury.
Perhaps a 41? Even if they were a lemon still needed for models of Sydney metropolitan area of the 50s and 60s. Hmmm, not so many of those layouts about. Put the 41 on hold.
Best regards,
John
There are still plenty of small locos begging to be done - NSW X100 & X200, 70 class. VR W & F class. And of course the Westrail J class, which only small in number has carried many liveries including SSR (and we know Auscision love SSR liveries).

And for those that might suggest it....sorry, but I could not bring myself to mounting a decoder in a permanently attached wagon; although having said that, it "may" be possible to have a shunter's truck permanently attached to an X class, but whether that would be capable of "hiding" a decoder is debatable too.

I have HO scale BLI trackmobiles & Hi-rails, fully DCC (factory fitted decoders), that operate beautifully. No unsightly decoder in the cab, no need for the decoder in a separate wagon. An X200 would not be a problem. Plenty of vids on youtube showing these little guys have no problems with pointwork, etc.
Also, those small locos with their inherent limited weight, short wheelbases and only 4 or 6 wheels, would benefit from a "Keep Alive" too, but technology will have to move a few more steps forward before the decoder + KA will be small enough.

I think the problem we face in several areas, & that is not just for loco's either, is the cost viability of them especially with models such as you mention, how many of them would really be large enough sellers for the big players. The one aspect with the X100 & 200 is that they would be able to use a common chassis & drive system, with the bodies being separate.SDS has shown, through their 'multi-media' products such as the OAK milk tankers, that there are ways to make smaller run items far more viable. Auscision aren't afraid to tackle such hurdles, after all they're doing limited run (100 units) of O scale locos.
Taking it a step further is the small & original NSW pay bus, again though how many would sell for a viable product?

I've just been searching Youtube for any sign of a X200 video (either prototype or HO scale) and haven't been able to find the right things to type into the address box to come up with ANYTHING regarding those little units.

Thanks in advance.
