Rollingstock you would like to see produced

  Tom66 Assistant Commissioner

I thought we should have a thread dedicated to rolling stock/locomotives we would libel to see produced. You never know who might be watching. Maybe we can use this as an online petition!!

I'll get the ball rolling;
1) RQQY/RRAY/RRBY/TRAY (articulated five packs)
2) RKYY (tilt bed steel wagon)
3) NODY/NKJY (open wagon/slab steel wagon)
4) RKLY/RCAF ( coil steel wagons/ and any other variants of the NODY's!)

Plenty more on the list but don't have the wagon codes on hand!!

In any case, there's a nice steady stream of VR - V/Line stuff coming through at the moment, but I'll dig up some codes that'd be great (if not financially 'viable' as RTR!) to have.

Most of us have kitbashed other stuff for reasonable Trans Australian coaches, but this one is not only a tricky one to get right, but a real beauty as well. I can envisage it would sell in both standard and narrow gauge versions (old Ghan ) as well as a lot of freelancers both interstate and overseas, whether they model CR or not, would love to hang one on the back end of a passenger consist. I'm sure there would be lot of interest in CR in the Golden Age of train travel, judging by the number of us who really wanted a CR liveried GM1 class from Traino but had to settle for a GM12 unit instead. (Yair, a GM1 unit is the train this Desperado is waiting for!)

Well, technically since the title does not specify RTR or not, both of those are already available from Steam Era Models.

How about the STA/TransAdelaide 2000 Class Jumbo's and 3000/3100 class railcars? They are a BIG challenge for the scratchbuilder (I am yet to see any although I assume someone must have built them) and there has never been a commercial kit. Being South Australian I know volumes would be low compared to eastern states prototypes but surely there is an opportunity here for someone to do something commercial?

YES! 100% with you on that one. all the Z cars, original AZ/BZ, SG VBK/VFK, 80s-90s ACZ, BCZ, BZ and Now as the BZN and BTN in both AZ/BZ window arrangements. Also a new BRS car would be nice for 80s Z sets. I'd also like to see an upgraded Austrains 421, 80 and X class Laughing

Dreaming I know but a NSW 'C' set would be awesome too
