The junction was moved the wrong way.
Clue one of the lines currently does not see any trains and is likley to never again.
I am a station that was a terminus only from the date completion of a line there, until an extension of the track further on. The yard initially consisted of the main line and three loop sidings. A turntable was provided a few years after the station was opened, and remained in place for over 25 years. The line was completed to provide for a specific type of traffic, which lasted for less than 15 years.
Where am I?
Not Wonthaggi or Cowangie.
After the specific through traffic was lost, the line remained very quiet for the next 45 or so years until closure. The mystery station handled grain and super-phosphate. No beer was offloaded here. The nearest pub was 13 kilometres away, and beer would have been offloaded there, at the station to where the turntable was relocated.
