Below are the current statuses of each of our train lines:
Ballarat line – Currently not affected by fires. Services expected to operate to normal timetables for Monday AM peak.
Bendigo line – Due to fires near Riddells Creek, the line has been suspended. Coaches are replacing trains but not stopping at Riddells Creek and Clarkefield due to the fires. For Monday AM peak, trains will operate between Bendigo and Gisborne with customers to transfer at Gisborne to coaches for the journey to Melbourne Southern Cross coach terminal. Delays are expected. This plan will change if the Calder Highway is again closed due to the bushfire situation. Please note there will be no coaches or trains servicing Riddells Creek or Clarkefield stations.
Geelong line – Currently not affected by fires. Normal timetable for Monday AM peak.
Gippsland line – Because of fire damage to train tracks and signalling equipment east of Moe, V/Line is operating trains from Melbourne only as far as Moe. We are unable to offer customers coach transfers east of Moe (between Traralgon and Moe) due to road closures. Customers for stations between Bairnsdale and Traralgon are advised that we will have coaches in operation, but they will not be able to proceed beyond Traralgon until police and VicRoads re-open the roads. V/Line advises customers east of Moe to defer travel plans until we can restore services. Just repeating, we are able to run coaches between Bairnsdale and Traralgon and trains between Melbourne and Moe. Further updates will depend on track inspection and the re-opening of fire affected roads.
Seymour line – The Seymour Line is expected to be operating to normal timetables for the Monday AM peak. It was suspended earlier due to a fire near Tallarook and coaches replaced services for some hours.
