    Brings a tear to my eye. A vline wagon with a tarp through Stawell this afternoon.

    One would have to agree with that statement , made 100 's of them ... for SAR and Victoria

    Yesterday's (28/3) Up Mildura Goods, with BL32, X41 and X44 through Moorabool, after having dropped off their cement loading (5 wagons) at Geringhap.

    T364 was the other T Class, not 357. I wouldnt get too excited, the locos dumped the wagons at Austrack and headed back to Newport. These four loco's may have seen the last of BG Freight for quite some time. They are at Newport having a well earned rest and getting some repairs done.

    Mucking around with a photo that's a couple of weeks old (9306 on the 23/3), it seems that you'll need to get the BBcode for the photo (in flickr click the share button and choose the pin), copy the entire code and paste it in the text, adjusting the size as you see fit. Don't put it in the 'add link' or 'add photo' section and it should show up. Linking photos to RP has become a hit-and-miss science recently which is one of the reasons I don't post many any more, it took several tries to get this right!

    Before the Easter weekend shutdown on the Dandenong/Gippsland line 9471/9472 paper train ran as a 1.1km train with 3 engines.

    Another example of QUBE's committment to regional freight. (i have no vested interest in this company but their ability to better serve regional freight is now pretty well established).

    If I were a shareholder of Asciano which I am not I would be very concerned about the management of the intermodal business.

    There are many contracts in Victoria which have been mismanaged by PN including the profitable fastback business which is now in ruin.

    The swan hill and Wodonga goods are now gone. Intermodal and oil to bairnsdale and other places around the network. Mildura is half what is was and a third of what it could be.

    PN has been a disaster for Victoria and Victrack have assisted in the complete demise of rail freight across this state.

    PN also killed off the Portland  goods.

    Regular Grain trains have been operating on this line over the last few months, as well as the Mineral Sands train from Hopetoun, the Metro track vehicle IEV? visited here earlier this year.............
