Private Railway Victoria

    Location: Stawell
    Would anyone know any information about this private railway, not going to say where it is exactly but its in central victoria
    Went passed it today, looked like broad gauge and photo from google maps

    Location: Footplate of any K class
    Bit hard to tell from that photo, also a bit hard to tell what the railway is if we can't get a location...

    its in north of Maryborough, its not a old railway line on a farm, just through someone would know about.

    No railway runs/ran through Eddington.

    The Image has the railway running East - West, but the Maryborough - Dunolly railway runs North - South ?

    Someone is building a NEW private railway, not part of any old railway line and would have about 500m of track in.
    Looks like the best way to find out is call in and didn't have time to call in today was getting late.

    To be honest, i'd just leave the people alone. They probably won't take well to a bunch of people turning up asking around.  
    If they want people to know about it, i'm sure they'd put a sign up or publicize it.

    Bing maps shows it stretching slightly further than Google.

    that good advice, they wouldn't like a heap of people turning up.
    thats is why i didn't put the address on and thought i would ask on here.

    I can't tell if it is a railway from that image, are there any tracks laid? It may be that is is/was laid as part of a film set.

    Film crews would use tourist railways for railway scenes, and many of them would be over the moon to have their assets or equipment used In a film (film crews do pay up to cover any costs too)
