    On the 24th of February the Grampian model railroaders took at trip to Hamilton to see the new Hamilton Model Railway Group Club 7 1/4 railway (500m of track) and club rooms here are the pictures from the day.

    The track should be finished in the next month

    Gday Sammy D Public Running is now up and running our track is complete we start at 2:00 on Sundays  Cost is $3.00 per ride We Welcome Visitors and we also have Railway memorabilia our HO gauge layout is based on Kilmore East.

    The Hamilton Model Railway Group will be open this weekend Sat the 19th and Sun the 20th of October in conjunction with the Hamilton pastoral Museum we will have Train Rides from around 11:00 AM onwards our award winning HO Gauge layout Kilmore East will also be operating. We will also have railway memorabilia on display as well.

    A Very Busy day was had at the Hamilton Model Railway Group on Saturday the 12/04/2014 with 30 Challenge Kids from Melbourne coming to Hamilton for a camp which included a visit to the HMRG. Was a great day for the youngsters they had a lot of fun and loved our ride on and HO Gauge layout Kilmore East they loved it so much they were asking when they could come back.Smile
    We were so busy we didn't have time for lunch.Laughing

    A Great Weekend was had on the 17th and 18th of May at the Hamilton Model Railway Group we were all very very busy with the ride on train going from 10:00 to 5:00PM we took many passengers including a large Indian Family who absolutely loved the ride on and our HO Gauge Layout Kilmore East they loved it also.

    All the young ones loved it also they loved to count the big long freight train and loved hearing the sound from the DCC Locos, tractors Clydesdale horse's vintage cars and machinery were also on show along with various other items were on display on Pastoral Museum's land.

    I was in the district on the weekend and made sure I visited the group on Sunday for their weekly run. What a fantastic set up and I encourage everyone who can to visit this dynamic group.
    Thanks to the President and Secretary who gave me a guided tour! It was great to see another vibrant group of people dedicated to the hobby. The grounds are superb and the HO layout is great. The 2 laps around the 7 1/4"track was sensational!

    Saturday 11/04/15 Saw the Challenge Kids from Melbourne coming to Hamilton for a camp which included a visit to the HMRG. Was a great day for the youngsters they had a lot of fun and loved our 7 1/4 ride on and also the HO Gauge layout Kilmore East I find it's very rewarding to put a smile on these young faces.
