If I was to (somehow) get to General Motors station.
Would I be arrested?

(a.k.a is it illigal?)

thanks

Doing so would be trespassing. So yes, it's illegal. This is one of the reasons the station was closed, as passengers wanting to access the station had to illegally walk across the tracks and private property.

Damn, i really wanna know if that button works. Was the green button installed after 92?

So there is 100 percent no legal way of accessing the station?
Except under the cover of darkness.
But I wouldnt go at night, I don't want to deal with homeless vandals that probably live in the shelters...

No ones going to bother you unless you're loaded with spray paint.

Well tell me, does the button work?

Green button?
  bomberswarm2 Junior Train Controller

Yes, I see it on the platform. When was it installed?

Thus exploiting that well known loophole in the laws of trespass which state that no man can be found guilty of trespassing if he does it at night.

Are PSOs at General Motors?

Thus, further proving that you understand the illegality of your proposed actions. By showing understanding and then contempt for the law, I look forward to explaining these posts when the boys in blue catch up with you and you say "I didn't know I wasn't supposed to be here". I'd gladly forward them a copy myself.

Illigal? More like urban exploration. It should be legal.

Illegal. I said it was illegal. I'd like to see you use that excuse on the cops when you're found out "well, it SHOULD be legal, so I did it". Well played.

They won't catch me, I'll drive right up to the station, I can getaway quickly.

I think it'll require a long walk alongside the track to access the station.

What about all those roads, like Nathan Rd?

And I'm sure you wouldn't mind going there yourselves?

Can't you handle it by yourself?  Report back when the mission is completed.

Really. This thread is turning into a laugh. I am not sure anyone would care about someone taking photos of an old railway station.

This is not Russia and we are not a police state.

Go and get your photos and just be careful in doing so. Make sure you post them here.

It is after all public land.

I hate to disappoint you, but the green button, if it is even connected, would say "There are no services departing General Motors today". Try pressing a button at any station at 2AM.

Oh to be a kid again, when whether a green button on a derelict platform worked or not was the biggest thing you had to worry about. No platform lights indicates no electricity, I doubt it works.

If it is a closed station, then it is not public land.

There's a right way and a wrong way to do something. Asking if it can be accessed, being told it's illegal, and then planning to do it anyway shows a knowledge and complete disregard for the law. Why not ask if it's okay to exceed the speed limit by 50km/h? We're not Russia, we're not a police state, so that should be fine, right?

What, you mean it's NOT? Because it carries an inherent risk of injury or death? It's the same with accessing the railway corridor without permission or qualifications to be there.

If you're so sure it is public land, just inform Victrack and the local police station of your visit and watch them stand by and let you.
