Fotoz Flyer - 5917 Thirlmere to Lithgow

We had a few dramas with it on that trip. Luckily there was another photographer who had stayed at Locksley and he saw it land.

I noticed the sound of the drone on Bevan’s video, where 5917 is turning on the Lidsdale triangle. I hope the operators are mindful of the annoyance this thing can cause to videographers and sound recordists.

PS. When approaching us at Locksley, at first we thought the wayward UAV's sound was the dynamic brake of another train from the west.

You can see the power of the 59 on the flat sections after the crossing at Faulconbridge, the way she gunned it in that section, was incredible

That would have to be some of the best on-board video I have ever seen - absolutely awesome!
What type of camera did use? The picture stability, even on long zoom, is excellent.

Ouch! - please, It is either unique or it is not. There is no degree of "uniqueness."
However, I must agree with the sentiment - I thought the video was excellent. It has already been pointed out by Bevan Wall, himself a pretty dab hand with video, that the camera work from the train was top class. I enjoyed it, and it sounded as though the loco was having fun! It was obviously being beautifully fired and driven.

Good point, I should have used the figurative expression: "quite unique"
