These are the Chinese builds?
If so I wonder if GE will be happy about the similarity to the NR's The bogies and well frame as well as the cab look really familiar. I don't suppose its a Licensed GE?

Chinese builds yes, almost an exact copy appearance wise of the GT42CU-ACs (4000/4100/PN/83).

You are so right Wink I don't know why the bridge section side rails reminded me of an NR??  I just associated it with the frame hollow fuel tanks?? Getting old,  and even the NR's are way out of my era

Makes me wonder how the different operators go about giving their loco's classifications, certainly an 88cl is more in keeping with another states classification, but then again PN has been a bit more consistent with classification.

The only thing that's a bit concerning to me as far as from a drivers perspective it that the access steps from ground to the cab are only or appear to be only at the rear end of the running board, I do like the fact that there also appears to be a walkway around the long end as well.

From what I have witnessed & heard in China, the prime movers in Chinese diesels sound very similar to the GE types.

I liked the pictures of the UR wagon, would make an interesting model in it's
current form, should be able to kitbash something from south of the tweed for a pretty good match.

Just a quick note to let you know that our ready to run OLO tank wagons are quickly becoming an endangered species!

Set 1 has already sold out in both gauges
Set 2 has less than 3 remaining in both gauges
Set 3 has less than 8 remaining in both gauges!

Combined with the 3 packs for $500 offer that we're currently running, these are sure not to last long!

For a good laugh go to Chapter 90, then the Youtube clip on Wayne McDades layout. Then click on the subtitles option and start reading.

Wuiske has been converted to Whisky Models, layout is now liar etc, etc.

I think the robot translator was having trouble with the Aussie dialogue.

Wuiske Models and Haskell Co were proud to unveil our next Ready to Run project at the Ipswich Show on the 18th and 19th of October, the 1550 class locomotive.

The models will be available in both HOn3½ (12mm) and HO (16.5mm) gauges with 8 running numbers accross three versions (high nose original QR livery, driver only original QR livery, driver only corporate QR livery) to suit modellers from 1973-2006 eras.‏

The 1550 locomotives will feature dual brass flywheels, scale Kadee couplers, directional lighting, working marker lights and number boards and will be DCC ready with a standard 8 pin plug.‏

The models are due to be released in the first quarter of 2015. Further information to be released shortly via our website, http://www.wuiskemodels.com and facebook page http://www.facebook.com/wuiskemodels‏

To the Wuiske Team, these models are absolutely outstanding and just goes to show modelling the Queensland prototype has taken another giant leap forward.

The detail is exquisite, just love the little etch grill on the a/c unit on the DOO unit amongst other things. Speaking of a/c units, the compromise is understandable, especially if it allows further developments of other classes. The original units are prior to my modelled era, however will still be able to squeeze in 1570D, just can't pass up that blue & white livery. A couple of "H" units will also find a home on my layout!

Well done again, can't wait to see the painted samples, congratulations and keep THEM coming!

Now that there is a 1550 RTR that will be comming my way, I'd also like a 1720 or similar as a next one.... But Now I have to wait for these 1550's to come. But no longer when or if, they will come and are happy for that.
