    The Stawell camera did not pick io the RL just the first loco. The camera facing the railway station did not capture the train at all.

    VL 54 is having it's first revenue run this afternoon on the 1608 Wendouree. Returns into Southern Cross at 7.31 pm.

    Just after I posted this, GL 107 came into Inverleigh light engine. After speaking to the guys trackside they had informed me that C501 had encounted problems along the way. I believe this train is heading to the Geelong grain loop once another crew arrives.
    After a long period in hibernation, it appears that C501 might need some attention or are its days numbered??

    It passed through Moorabool at about 1:30ish today and was crawling along very slowly down the grade, C class all silent between the two GL's. I think it had to wait at G'hap for some reason (trackwork?)

    I'd say it wasn't happy about being woken from hibernation and put straight to work, she'll probably be repaired in the next week or two is my guess. I don't think 501's days are numbered, the SRHC will keep her going forwever if they can I reckon!

    I saw it earlier today and have been wondering, are the duel car carriers normal? I thought the Overland only had one usually since I can't recall ever seeing two before.

    PN's spring clean has continued this week with the latest casualties been 2 T class & 2 Y class. All that remains now is 4
    engines sitting together in the
    yard, I assume waiting for pick up. There are also 10 more or so Y&T class on death row awaiting a similar fate. Well over 100 cement, grain,phosphate & log wagons have been scrapped now with the Geelong yard now looking very empty.

    Rockbank platform 1 and the island platform at Ardeer have both been sealed.
    The myki machine at Ardeer has had it's notes module removed  and replaced with a red sticker.

    The locos are still located on the west side of the Geelong yard. The first 4 locos that got the chop I believe came from the west side of the yard.One can only assume the rest will follow in due coarse. Time will tell.

    9208 arrived on yesterday's 3BM2 Intermodal/Steel into Melbourne behind NR69-9312-NR34. 9208 then proceeded solo to the Spotswood Maintenance Centre.
