Interesting to note that only the 3 Indian Red and both 35 class models have been listed as sold out. The others that were mentioned as having less than 10 are still available.

That would definitely appear to be the case. Probably inconsequential but it would be interesting to know approximate numbers/percentages considering that previous releases have not been afforded a similar luxury

An interesting update to their projects. The big message I'm taking from it is the impact the falling Aussie dollar is having on costs. Of course part of that is probably some spin from Auscision to get people to pre-order (I'd be very surprised if Auscision with its exposure to exchange rates doesn't do some forward buying of US dollars), but I will not at all be surprised if we see some increases in prices - even existing pre-order prices. They will of course have to honour those you have already pre-ordered and paid, but I can see some increases coming particularly to the $220 48/830 pre-order price. No I'm not affiliated with Auscision - just my take on what they had to say.

So as a general overview of the comments on FB and the history so far, we can see a few interesting ideas.

First thing is that when they mention 'who wants one' we can assume that work has already commenced at some level.
My first impressions are the C38 would be choice considering they had a hand in an O scale version. Plus there were a few upset about the Streamlined version by Eureka and its probably one of the more popular choices. Plus we might not see a Eureka re-run for quite sometime whilst they get their toolings sorted out.

The VR S Class is also a popular choice. I'd be in for one of these even though its way out of my criteria.
D57/58's also seem to be up there.

Interesting choices are the SMR loco's ....

Was not just the streamlined version of the Eureka 38cl but also the non streamliner which had a lot of errors on it. I had both on order & cancelled them, deciding to get a DJH kit instead, got the streamlined one, & while a couple of areas with it are problematic, no where like the plastic one.

So far I await a non streamlined kit but if Auscision do the 38's then at least one version may interest me.

I actually wonder when those questions are posed & the amount of replies that come in, along with the gee ups, if its not some sort of ego triping by the Auscision people thinking they have the whole model empire sowed up already.

Ego trip...give me a break,i think some on here are the ones with big egos !
Auscision have not announced they are doing steam simply testing the waters after no doubt being lobbied by many with requests to do steam locos.Its not ego its called running a buisness and taking opportunities where they see fit.Buisness 101 give the customer what they want.I personally do not see them doing a 38 class but time will tell i guess.

Has anyone noticed that while Auscision liked several of the 150 + comments on their Facebook page that did not make suggestions for a particular HO steam loco the only suggestion of a steam loco they liked was the suggestion that got 11 likes for the VR streamlined S loco. Read that however you want but I'll take that as a strong hint. Will also allow them to follow it up with the early SOP Cars.

Definitely a Win Win situation for Victorian modellers. The old SOP AS cars seemingly are already coming from Auscision in their carriage sets.  Providing blue carriages from 1933 to 1990 does not appear to be too hard.
What will be the most difficult part, going on what has gone before, by other brass and injected plastics producers, will be building a Steam engine that can pull a 8 car train up a reasonable grade. I know if anyone can do this, Auscision will.
