Just burned out the MOTOR of my Myford ML7 lathe.

I had almost finished parting off the last end of a pair of axles I needed urgently. I was impatient to finish the project so I gave myself a lot of left arm exercise, and the refurbished bogie is running well. However now I need to replace the motor. I have done some research but have not had much luck here. There are expensive solutions from England (VF converter and 3-phase motor in the old BS frame size) or someone in NZ advertises motors with BS frames made in India.
I know it is unlikely that anyone here would have a spare motor (1/2 or 3/4 HP, 5/8" shaft) for sale, but if anyone has been through the exercise of ML7 motor change or motor upgrade I would appreciate your advice about where you bought it.
If you have a motor to sell then please contact me by PM, please post other comments here in case there are other Myford owners on this forum.
I am in Sydney.
Thanks
Tom
