QR Qualified Loco Driver + Tutor Driver hiring for 2015

    Was advertised at the start of the year. Note it was for QR (passenger) not Aurizon (freight).

    Did anyone eventually get interviewed and progress to the point of a job offer? Did anyone get interviewed and never receive any further communication?

    The jobs were supposed to start at the end of March to be ready for deployment by this month (July).

    The depots offered were qualified driver positions for Roma, Cloncurry, Emerald and Townsville, and tutor driver (like driver trainer) positions at three of those locations.

    I put in for the loco drivers jobs with Q R did all the tests and the interview and have not heard a thing called a couple of times still heard nothing .

    Roma, Emerald and Townsville have been filled and are up and running. Cloncurry has been shelved for the time being, sorry to be the bearer of bad news Andrew.

    The scuttlebut is that there weren't enough applications for the Mt Isa line.  The new economy-sized Inlander may well be the last Aurizon crewed passenger train in the state.

    thanks nice to know havent got a thing from Q R like to know what they are up to.

    QR just in the last week or two re-advertised for Roma, Toowoomba and Emerald (I think). The ads have gone again now. Not sure if all for pass train working or if there's freight or rail maintenance trains involved.

    Toowoomba filled with internal transfers.
    Trainee drivers been called internally for Emerald and Roma.
    No freight work in all depots.
